Hello good people and welcome to another Quintessential Tips blog. On this blog we are going to talk a bit about dabs, dabbing and dab rigs and not to mention what to put in them. Please note we dont want you to break the law or do anything you are not comfortable with so in the interests of making a good blog we are going to talk about dabbing on both sides of the ocean, America & Canada and how its seen here in the UK. Dont forget to check some of the vids out on the bottom of the page as well including the mighty 28 gram dab that's pure horror show, but worth he watch. The future of CBD ingestion is here, 2016 is the year that dabbing CBD became semi mainstream. Say goodbye to e-liquids that have PG & VG mixed in and say hello to high strength CBD wax and dab oils that have such a great taste and flavour. Please read on for a wee bit of info about CBD , dabbing it and what you will need to do so.
First the best way to describe it is how the Urban dictionary explains it. Dabbing is to press a piece of cannabis extract known as Butane Hash Oil against a heated surface of an oil rig pipe and inhale the smoke. These extracts have up to 90% THC levels. It is the newest growing trend for cannabis connoisseurs and Colorado currently has the largest following to date. But it all had to start somewhere and in reality this story really begins with hash or hashish as it is also known. This is one of the earliest extracts that is made from hemp or cannabis is a concentrated medicinal tar substance often black in colour pulled from the female plants leaves. This process has existed for centuries first being believed to have originated in Eastern Asia then spreading to India, Nepal, The Himalayas, Afghanistan, Turkey, and Morocco as far back as 100 A.D.
So Hash was an early extract but how did this grow into dabbing - the story continues here. Hash moved on to honey oil and from there it finally became dabbing as methods of extraction became better and cleaner. Its just a reflection of the modern age as far as I am concerned and with the advent of vaping and e-liquids changing the way people ingest smoke for the better it was inevitable that dabbing would gain in notoriety if for no other reason than it really fucking strong. Its known though that dabbing has blown the roof of the US scene and has created an entire new market with tools, extracts and contributing products that never existed before.
Dabbing - is it weed only
The answer is no, you can dab CBD crystals or wax if you require and you dont just have to rely on traditional smoking methods to ingest your CBD. I know many people who use CBD & CBD oils and products that dont smoke or use cannabis and not everyone wishes to get high and in answer to that there have been some great new product releases in the last few months regarding dab waxes and crystals and are perfect for those looking to ingest cannabinoids in a clean way without getting high.
Dabbing - what do I need
First you will need something to put in the rig, after you have that you need a rig lol. What is a rig? A dab rig is the equivalent of a bong for stoner's. The rig is usually made from glass and has a nail attachment usually made from glass or Titanium. apart from that you will need some oil slick products or at the very least some baking parchment so your concentrate wont stick to everything it touches. Then a dab tool always helps and Happy Daddy seem to be the most legit around. Basically you will need a few things, once you have them all you are ready to rock and roll. You wont need everything though so do your research, watch the movies and see how the dab pros do it. Also there are electric nails and even portable electric nails that attach to your vape battery but again not everything is needed and we recommend watching the pros, learning and then experimenting with tools, rigs and concentrates to get the best dab experience.
